Ray-Ban Stories is newest social gadget

You can now use Fb on your encounter.

Okay, not just all of Fb. But with the announcement Thursday that Facebook is launching its personal pair of intelligent eyeglasses identified as Ray-Ban Stories, we’re getting nearer.

I have had a pair of Ray-Ban Tales for a pair times now. Of course, when you hear “intelligent eyeglasses” you may well think Google Glass. But what Fb and Ray-Ban have rolled out is more akin to early variations of Spectacles, eyewear introduced in 2016 by Snapchat parent business Snap.

The glasses start out at $299 and will be obtainable commencing Thursday in Ray-Ban shops and on the eyewear maker’s website. On Sept. 13, the glasses will appear at Luxottica Retail destinations like Sunglass Hut and Lens Crafters.

“Ray-Ban Tales is created to aid folks stay in the instant and stay linked to the men and women they are with and the folks they desire they had been with,” said Andrew Bosworth, vice president of Fb Truth Labs in a statement.
